We hold two Billy Kovatch Hitting Camps. One is for campers ages 9-13 and the other is for campers ages 7-10. If your child is 9, you can choose which camp you attend or you can attend both.

  • Where are your camps held & where is check-in/pick-up?

Camps are held at Wingate Park, home of the Jax Beach Baseball Association. The physical address is 361 Penman Road South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. On the first day of camp, please check your camper in right behind the bathrooms at the front of the baseball park. For 2024, the Advanced Baseball Camp location is TO BE DETERMINED but will be in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

For pick-up, please form a line in the parking lot facing North (towards the football fields). We will radio for your camper and have them brought out to you.

  • Are campers outside all day?

We believe in outdoor play! The best place to play sports, run around and let kids be kids is outdoors. However, campers are given ample amount of time under cover, in the shade and plenty of water breaks to stay cool. We have a large covered area with industrial fans. There is a building with AC, should campers need to go inside. Please note, in the later part of the day, we play water games.

  • What do you do if it rains?

In the event of rain, campers are moved inside our pavilion and out of harms way. We have movies, cards and games to keep campers entertained. You will not need to pick your camper up early. At the end of camp, we will be waiting by Wingate Park bathrooms to radio for your camper and have them brought to you.

  • Do campers need to bring lunch?

Campers must bring a lunch to All-Sports Camp & Baseball/Softball Camp. Keep in mind Friday is a half day for Baseball/Softball camp, so they will not need lunch on this day unless they are staying for extended day. Campers that are staying from Billy Kovatch Hitting Camp for All-Sports Camp will also need to bring a lunch. You will also want to provide your child with snacks if they are staying for after care. The only thing provided by Iron Diamond Sports is water.
